ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Nazareth and Cortland at the Nazareth Invitational on Friday.

In the first match the Devils fell to Nazareth, 3-2 (16-25, 25-18, 25-15, 20-25, 13-15).  Lindsey Olson led the team with 13 kills. Jessica DiChristopher had 9 kills,  Paulina Rein had four service aces and Lauren Hokaj had 19 digs. Freshman setter Kelly Edinger had 26 assists.

In the second match, the Devils fell 3-1 (27-25, 19-25, 21-25, 18-25). Hannah Manning had 12 kills and Olson had 10 kills and three service aces. Meredith Smietana was credited with five blocks and Hokaj added 15 digs. Edinger added another 28 assists.

The Devils now stand at 1-5 on the season. They take on Mount Union and Clarkson tomorrow afternoon to wrap up the tournament.
