NEW WILMINGTON, PA -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Westminster (Pa.) Titans Wednesday night. The Blue Devils fell to 2-9-0 on the season.

Westminster built a 3-0 lead before Fredonia State senior Ryan Smith (Fairport, N.Y.) ended the Titans' shut out bid. Smith connected on a header at the 73:23 mark for his third goal of the season.

Westminster (6-2-1) got on the board quickly, scoring its first goal at the 1:40 mark on a breakaway shot by Ethan McCarthy. The Titans' second goal came in the 37th minute, with the final Westminster score coming 1:15 into the second half.

Sophomore goalkeeper A.J. Grecco (Buffalo) recorded five saves for the Devils.

The Blue Devils play host to SUNYAC opponent Buffalo State Saturday at 1 p.m. during homecoming weekend.
