MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Fredonia State rapped 22 hits in an 19-8 road win Wednesday afternoon at Allegheny.
The Blue Devils (8-10) trailed 5-1 after the first inning before scoring twice in the top of the second and four runs in in four separate innings.
Dan Greco (Lockport) and
Kenny Johnston (Buffalo) were the hitting leaders with a double and two singles each. Johnston had a team-high three RBI while Greco also scored five runs and pitched three scoreless innings.
Josh Gascon (Livonia) pitched 3 2/3 innings of relief to pick up the win and improve to 2-0.
Steve Sturm (Amherst) and
Evan Carmello (Fredonia) each pitched one inning of scoreless relief.
Dan Fetes (Webster),
Kyle Koslowski (Webster),
Ron Mannella (Albion), and
Ian Gallagher (Pittsford) had two his each for the Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils are back in action 1 p.m. Sunday when the face Hilbert in a non-conference doubleheader ata Ludwig Field.
