BOXSCORE 2 FT. MYERS, FLA. – The Fredonia State baseball team split a pair of games with St. Lawrence University on Sunday. St. Lawrence took the opener, 9-4, and the Devils claimed the nightcap, 12-3.
Starting pitcher pitcher
Josh Gascon tossed five strong innings allowing six hits, walking one and striking out three in picking up the win.
Sean Larson pitched a one-two-three sixth with a pair of strikeouts before the rains prematurely ended the game after six innings.
Offensively, six Blue Devils collected a pair of hits.
Justin Burns led the charge with a double, triple and RBI groundout.
Andrew Lawrence had two hits and three RBI.
Dan Fetes and
Dillon Lowe each had two hits and two RBI.
In Game 1,
Jake Nowak and
Dan Fetes each had a pair of hits.
Zach Murray took the loss on the mound.
The Devils now stand at 3-3. They take on Baruch in a double dip on Monday. St. Lawrence is now 2-1.
