BOXSCORE PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell 72-58 to Plattsburgh on Friday.
Te Devils were led by
Joe Monahan with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Dalton Kashmer had 11 points.
The Devils opened the game with a bang as
Tyrone Clark dunked on the Devils' opening possession then assisted on an
Amir Billups three pointer on the next.
From there, the Cardinals took over, scoring 23 unanswered points for a 23-5 lead. They took a 42-25 advantage into the break. The Devils outscored Plattsburgh in the second half, 33-30, but it would not be enough.
Plattsburgh (6-2, 2-1 SUNYAC) owned the battle of the boards, 43-28.
The Devils even their record at 4-4 overall and 1-2 in SUNYAC play. They take on Potsdam tomorrow afternoon.
