FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State men's basketball team opens the SUNYAC portion of the season with home games this Friday and Saturday at the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.
The Blue Devils (2-2 overall) meet New Paltz at 8 p.m. Friday, and Oneonta at 4 p.m. Saturday. Each game will be preceded by a home game by the Blue Devil women.
This year, only six of the 10 SUNYAC teams will qualify for the post-season tournament -- two fewer than in past seasons.
"I'm sure every SUNYAC coach feels the same way," Fredonia State head coach Kevin Moore said in a videotaped interview. "You almost have to play championship-caliber basketball from the get-go."
