The Fredonia State volleyball team (left side of photo) teamed with the Penn State Behrend volleyball team to raise just over $1,000 in the Battle Against Cancer at Behrend on Tuesday night.

ERIE, Pa. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team was swept 3-0 at Penn State Behrend on Tuesday.

Jessica DiChristopher led the offense with 11 kills while Kelly Edinger had 17 assists. Defensively, Edinger collected 18 digs and Meredith Smietana had four blocks.

Penn State Behrend improved to 13-7. The Lions' victory came in front of its largest crowd of the season. The game was billed as a "Battle Against Blood Cancer" and raised just over $1,000 dollars, with additional pledges yet to be collected. The proceeds will benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Devils fall to 10-12 on the season. Next up is a trip to Ithaca to for the Bomber Invitational.
