FREDONIA, N.Y. – Cortland remained unbeaten in the SUNYAC with a 2-0 women's soccer win Saturday over Fredonia State at University Stadium.
Second-half goals by Rachel Parker and Jenny Angione and shutout goalkeeping by Taylor Hudson lifted the Red Dragons to their fifth SUNYAC wins in six games. Their only other game was a 1-1 tie Friday at Buffalo State.
In addition to their 5-0-1 conference record, the Red Dragons are 8-2-3 overall.
The loss dropped the Blue Devils to 8-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the SUNYAC. The earned a weekend split of their two SUNYAC home games, including a 3-1 win Friday over Oswego.
The Blue Devils return to action next Friday at Plattsburgh, followed by a visit to Potsdam next Saturday.

Maggie Horan (Livonia), normally a midfielder, was pressed into service as goalkeeper for the second straight day in place of injured started
Meaghan Meszaros (Selden). Horan made four saves against Cortland, two in each half.
At the other end, Hudson finished with seven saves. She saved her best one for last, a leaping one-handed deflection over the top of the next on a blast from 30-yards out by Blue Devil junior midfielder
Katie Kleine (Cazenovia).
Parker scored the game's first goal, at 64:41, when she drilled a shot into the upper right portion of the net from 30-yards away. It was her second goal of the season. She also assisted on Angione's goal, a short one-timer, at 79:09. It was Angione's first goal of 2012.
