Devils deal Cards a loss

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team defeated St. John Fisher, 3-0, in Dods Hall on Tuesday. It was the Devils' seventh win in their last eight matches.

Fredonia State improved to 17-13 overall winning by set scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-17. Fisher drops to 6-19.

Senior Lindsey Olson (Portville) led the Devil offense with nine kills. Freshman Jessica DiChristopher (Cheektowaga) added eight kills in 12 attempts. Freshman setter Kelly Edinger (Rochester) had 26 assists.

Freshman Paulina Rein (Baldwinsville) led the defense with 15 digs, while DiChristopher had four blocks. Fellow freshman Lauren Hokaj (Lancaster) had nine digs and a pair of service aces.

Fisher was led by Rachael Kline with six kills. Erica Stickler had 11 assists.

The Devils travel to Daemen on Thursday for a 7 p.m. match.
