ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team won its first match of the Ithaca Invitiational vs. Wells, 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-10). The Blue Devils went on to win their second match vs. Potsdam, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-20).

Against Wells, freshmen, Kelly Edinger (Rochester) and Paulina Rein (Baldwinsville) led the way for the Blue Devils. Edinger totaled 29 assists and 11 digs, while Rein had 7 kills, 4 aces, and 3 blocks. Hannah Manning (Apalachin) added 8 kills.

In the Blue Devils second match, Edinger recorded 32 assists and 8 digs. Senior outside hitter Lindsey Olson (Portville) had a team high 11 kills and Manning added another 10.

Fredonia State ends the day at 12-12 overall.

The Devils continue play in Ithaca tomorrow against St. Lawrence and host Ithaca.
