BUFFALO N.Y. -- The Fredonia State volleyball team defeated Brockport,3-1, and fell to Buffalo State, 3-0, on Day 1 of SUNYAC West Division Pool Play.
The Devils downed Brockport by scores of 25-18, 26-24, 22-25 and 25-12.
Lindsey Olson led the offense with 9 kills and added 10 digs.
Hannah Manning had 7 kills and 2 blocks.
Brittany Lis had 36 assists and 10 digs, while
Sarah Zureck had 18 digs.
Buffalo State downed the Devils by counts of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-14.
Jennifer Newhouse had 7 kills, Reanne Sansone 5 kills and Zureck added 18 digs and a pair of service aces.
The defending West Division champs are now 1-1 in the conference and 8-7 overall. They take on Oswego and Geneseo at noon and 2 p.m., respectively, on Saturday.
