BOXSCORE PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- The St. John Fisher Cardinals downed the Fredonia State women's soccer team, 2-0, on Tuesday.
Fisher scored both its goals in the second half. Vicki Alfieri scored the game's first goal 5:20 into the second frame. She was assisted by Chelsea Oberkreiser and Krista Pilla.
Just over five minutes later, Oberkreiser scored on an assist from Pilla.
FSU's
Kayleigh Forger made six saves in goal. Fisher's Noel Peck made seven stops in earning the shutout.
Fisher held a slight advantage in shots, 15-11, and shots on goal, 8-7. They held a 6-2 edge in corner kick opportunities.
The Cardinals improve to 2-2 overall.
The Devils fall to 2-3 on the season. They travel to Union College this weekend.
