FT. MYERS, FLA. -- The Blue Devils won their fourth-straight game on Monday in a 17-5 rout of St. Joseph's of Long Island.
Winning pitcher
Zach Murray was the beneficiary of the run support, earning his first win on the season. Murray went five innings and did not allow a walk.
Steve Sturm tossed two hitless innings of relief.
The Devils scored at least one run in six of the seven innings.
Alex Foster started the rally in the first with a two-run double. The Devils tacked on six more in the second, with
Taylor Gahagen's three-run double being the big hit.
The Devils added two more in the third, and three in the fifth.
They wrapped up the scoring with four runs in the sixth.
Dan Fetes had a three-run double.
The Devils had 12 hits and 14 walks as a team.
Ian Gallagher had three hits, including a triple to lead the Devils. Foster,
Joe Kephart and Tommy Dee also had two hits.
The Devils improve to 4-2. They take on Kenyon College 10 a.m. Monday.
