FREDONIA, N.Y. --- The Fredonia State men's hockey team is on the road both weekend nights – Friday at Geneseo, Saturday at Brockport.

The Blue Devils (10-10-0 overall, 5-6-0 SUNYAC) have won seven of their last nine games. They enter Friday's game sixth in the conference standings. The top six teams make the conference tournament.

“These might be the biggest two games of the season to this point,” Blue Devil head coach Jeff Meredith said. “Geneseo is ranked in the top 10 nationally (No. 7 in the latest USCHO.com Division III rankings) … They might be one of the most complete teams in our league in that they are very solid at both ends of the ice.”

The Ice Knights, at 13-5-2 overall and 7-3-1 in the conference, trail only Oswego – the nation's No. 1 ranked team – in the SUNYAC standings. They are 7-2-1 at home.

Brockport is 1-10-0 in the SUNYAC, 3-15-2 overall, but 3-6-1 at home. “They are always tough in their own building,” Meredith said. “I expect this game to be no different than our Friday game at Geneseo. Our league is so good right now and everybody and beat everybody. It makes for some great competition.”
