FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team dropped a 71-44 road game to Geneseo on Tuesday.
The Knights led wire to wire and took a 36-17 lead into the half.
Caroline Hourhan led the Devils with eight points. Linsay Schwab had seven rebounds.
Geneseo improves to 15-1 in the SUNYAC. Coupled with Oneonta's win at Cortland, Geneseo clinches the No. 1 seed for next week's SUNYAC Tournament, which begins on Tuesday, February 22. Alyssa Polosky had 16 points.
The Devils are now 4-12 in conference play and 6-16 overall. They wrap up the regular season this weekend in Steele Hall vs. Potsdam and Plattsburgh in a bid tp clinch a playoff berth.
