ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Lindsey Olson was the top hitter and Sarah Zureck surpassed 2,000 career digs Friday in a pair of Fredonia State wins at the University of Rochester..

The Blue Devils first defeated Rochester Institute of Technology, 3-1, by set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-10, and 25-18. Olson collected 12 kills, Hannah Manning added eight kills, and Jennifer Newhouse was credited with three kills and five blocks.

Zureck added 15 digs to her school-record career total. She entered the match with 1,997. Meanwhile, Brittany Lis had 31 assists, 12 digs, and two blocks.

Zureck added another 19 digs while Olson had eight more kills, 15 digs, and one block in a 3-0 victory over The College of Brockport. Set scores favored the Blue Devils, 25-17, 24-14, and 25-18.

Newhouse had seven kills and six blocks against Brockport, Kaitlin Orcutt had six kills, and Lis delivered 32 assists and nine digs.

The Blue Devils improved to 24-10 and will face St. Lawrence at 11 a.m. and New York University at 1 p.m. Saturday.
