BOXSCORE GENEVA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State stayed close for one half before falling to No. 11 ranked Hobart, 4-0, in the final game of the Blue Devils' season.

Tony Yeboah scored in the 19th minute for the Statesmen, the final goal allowed in the collegiate career of Bobby McGinnis. The senior goalkeeper made one save in the first 45 minutes before he was replaced by freshman A.J. Grecco at halftime.

The Statesmen scored three times on Grecco -- Caetano Sanchez in the 59th minute, Ian McGarty in the 62nd, and Michael Moulton in the 67th.

Grecco was also credited with two saves. The Blue Devils were outshot 22-7 overall.

The Blue Devils had two scoring chances late the second half. With a little over 17 minutes left in the game, Hobart goalkeeper Alex Witherell ran out of the goal to punch away a threatening crossing pass. Tyler Williams collected the ball and tried to fire at the goal that was left protected by two Statesmen defenders, but his shot went wide left. The Blue Devils had another chance close to two minutes later when a shot by Luke Tyluyki almost slid under the crossbar, but Witherell jumped and swatted the ball away.

In addition to McGinnis, the day marked the final collegiate game for seven other Blue Devil seniors. They were defender Rejean Archambeault, forward Shawn Creviston, forward Justin Gmeinweiser, forward Matt Grabowski, forward Cory Paine, midfielder David Thoin, and defender Luke Spencer.

The Blue Devils finished the season with an 11-8 record.
