NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- Fredonia State fell to New Paltz, 2-0, in the next-to-last day of the SUNYAC regular season in women's soccer.
The Blue Devils fell to 9-7 overall and 5-3 in the conference, good for third place. They were outshot in the game, 18-7.
New Paltz moved into second place with the win. The Hawks improved to 11-5-1 overall and 6-2 in the SUNYAC.
Both New Paltz goals came in the first half. Eleni Alselmi scored in the 26th minute, and Shannon Cobb in the 35th minute.

The Blue Devils visit Oneonta for a 1 p.m. game Saturday. They will be try to maintain their position among the top four teams in the SUNYAC in order to earn a home game in the first round of the conference tournament.
