ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ferdonia State opened its men's swimming and diving season with a split of its double-dual meet.
The Blue Devils defeated New Paltz, 148-139, for the first time in several seasons. They were defeated by host Ithaca, 221-78.
Ryan Fuller and
Eric Jordan, both sophomores, were individual winners for the Blue Devils.
Fuller won both springboard diving events with personal-best scores -- 254.77 in the 1-meter event, 262.05 in the 3-meter.
Jordan touched first in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:00.75.
It was the first meet at the new Ithaca facility, hence all winning times established pool records.

Arthur Wang, an Ithaca alum, also noted the performance of sophomore
John Estanislau in the 50-yard freestyle (22.9), the 100-yard breast stroke (1:03.6), and the 200-yard breast stroke (2:21.44).
