OSWEGO, N.Y. --  Fredonia State kept its SUNYAC playoff chances alive with a 69-63 road victory Saturday over the Oswego Lakers.

Down 30-28 at the half, the Blue Devils took command as the second half began. A three-point basket by Jenna Austin and a traditional three-point play by Nicole Calbi were at the start and end of a 16-5 run. Austin had seven points, Calbi five, Becky Hebert four, and Alex Cassella two during the rally, which gave the Blue Devils a 44-35 lead.

After Oswego cut the lead to one point, 46-45, the Blue Devils responded again. They scored the next six points on a basket by Jaimie Warren, two free-throws by Grace Moore, and a basket by Calbi.

The Blue Devils later lead by eight points before Oswego made one final run to get within two, 58-56, with just under six minutes left.

Three straight baskets by Moore, the first two on consecutive possessions, righted the Blue Devils.

Calbi lead a balanced Blue Devil attack with 13 points. Moor and Warren added 12 points each, and Hebert had ten. Warren's game high 12 rebounds, gave her a double-double. Calbi also had seven assists.

It was the second SUNYAC win by the Blue Devils, tied with two other teams for the eighth and final tournament berth.
