BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team dropped a 75-54 game at Buffalo State on Wednesday.
The Devils built an early 11-3 lead. Buffalo State would eventually take the lead for good, 17-16, at the 9:51 mark following a layup by Nico McLean. They finished the half with a 31-25 advantage.
Buffalo State opened with a flurry to start the second half, outscoring the Devils 16-2 over the first five minutes to take command with a 47-27 lead.
Dalton Kashmer and
Joseph Monahan led the Devils with 14 points apiece.
Curtis Fluker added 12 points and nine rebounds.
Buffalo State (7-4 overall, 2-3 SUNYAC) was paced by Chris Cartwright with 24 points. Justin Mitchell added 16.
Buffalo State held a slight 34-33 edge in rebounding. The Devils committed 25 turnovers to the Bengals 14.
Fredonia State (4-7, 1-4) takes on Brockport on Tuesday.
