GENESEO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State defeated Buffalo State and SUNY Brockport to complete their weekend sweep of SUNYAC West Division Pool Play.

The Blue Devils (12-6. 4-0 SUNYAC) rolled over Buffalo State 25-17, 25-17, 25-20 in the noon match Saturday, then came back at 2 p.m. to defeat Brockport 25-17, 26-24, 25-22.

Hannah Manning had double-digit kills in each match. She had 10 kills and two blocks against the Bengals, then 10 more kills against the Golden Eagles.

In addition, Jen Michelsen had four aces and five digs against Buffalo State, and a team-high 14 digs against Brockport. Danielle McNeil led the Blue Devils with 16 digs against Buffalo State. Brittany Lis was credited with 35 assists and four digs against the Bengals, and had 33 assists and 10 digs against Brockport.

The second round of Pool Play is Oct. 22-23 at SUNY Oswego, during which the Blue Devils will attempt to secure the No. 1 West Division seed for the fourth straight year. If that is accomplished, the six-team SUNYAC championship tournament will be held Nov. 4 through Nov. 6 at Dods Hall.
