GENESEO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State opened SUNYAC West Division Pool Play with a pair of wins Friday.
The Blue Devils defeat host SUNY Geneseo 3-0 in a 3 p.m. match, then came back to sweep SUNY Oswego 3-0 at night.
In the Geneseo match, junior setter
Brittany Lis led the offense with 33 assists, while senior middle hitter
Kaitlin Erdmann was credited with 10 kills. In addition, junior
Chelsea Senn added seven kills. Defensively, Lis was credited with 13 digs and Erdmann with three blocks.
Set scores were 26-24, 25-17, and 25-16.
The evening match against Oswego resulted in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-21 victory by the Blue Devils, as they improved to 10-6 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Lis had 21 assists and 14 digs, Erdmann seven kills, and junior libero

The Blue Devils return to the court at noon Saturday when they taken on Buffalo State, who also went 2-0 Friday. The 2 p.m. match pits Fredonia State vs. SUNY Brockport.
