FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State Blue Devils two-game winning streak came to an end Friday night as the visiting Oswego State Lakers took the SUNYAC contest 71-48.
The Devils kept pace with the Lakers throughout the early stages of the first half, tying the game at 18-all with 6:58 remaining following a pair of free throws by

Monahan led the way for the Blue Devils with 13 points while
Branden McKenney chipped in 11 points
Chad Burridge and Chris Gilkes, the Lakers top two scorers this season, scored 19 and 18 points, respectively.
The 71 points by the Lakers match the highest total given up the Devils this season, who led the SUNYAC in defense allowing only 56.2 points per game entering Friday night.
The Blue Devils fall to 2-4 overall. The Lakers improve to 3-1 and 1-0 in the conference.
Fredonia State will face the Cortland Red Dragons as part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team tomorrow. The men will tip-off at 4 p.m. in Steele Hall.
