ONEONTA, N.Y. -- A goal by Brockport's Christian Tychostup in the 107th minute carried his team to a 1-0 victory over Fredonia State in a SUNYAC semifinal Friday.

Following a free kick by a teammate, Tychostup settled a richochet and drilled a left footer under the cross bar behind Fredonia State junior goalkeeper #Bobby McGinnis# (Elmira/Elmira Free).

The loss eliminated the Blue Devils from the SUNYAC Tournament. They fell to 10-9 overall.

Brockport moves on to face Plattsburgh at 11 a.m. Saturday for the SUNYAC title. The Golden Eagles improved to 13-2-2.

The defensive struggle saw the two teams combine for 16 total shots -- 10 by the Golden Eagles. McGinnis was credited with two saves while Brockport's Joe Marino made three stops while earning the shutout.

It was the final SUNYAC competition for seven Fredonia State seniors: John Grabowski (Middleport/Roy-Hart), Stephen Ahern (Nottingham, U.K./Billborough), Ryan O'Donnell (Orchard Park), #Eli Lubberts (Ontario/Wayne), Peter Dagel (Rochester/Gates-Chili), Brett Wysocki (Gansevoort/Columbia), and Jack Flechaus (Brockport).
