FREDONIA, N.Y. -- A basket by freshman Becky Hebert (Hilton) with 19 seconds left gave Fredonia State a 66-65 overtime victory Tuesday over D'Youville at the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.

Hebert caught an inbounds pass from sophomore Grace Moore (Fredonia) for an open jumper from just to right of the foul line. The Blue Devils kept the possession alive with one offensive rebound and a loose ball that went out of bounds off a D'Youville player.

The Spartans called two timeouts in the final 14.3 seconds but were unable to counter. Hannah Norton missed two free throws with 6.8 seconds left. A rebound by Alyx Iversen gave the Spartans one final possesion, but it was erased when Moore stole the ensuing inbounds pass.

Fredonia State junior Nicole Calbi (Olean) dribbled out the clock.

Hebert finished with 13 points to lead the Blue Devils, who improved to 2-2 this season. They also improved to 11-0 all-time vs. the Spartans.
