FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Fredonia State women's tennis team split a pair of matches in the past week.

The Blue Devils fell Sept. 29 at Roberts Wesleyan, 8-1, then bounced back for a 9-0 victory Oct. 2 over Penn State Behrend.

In the Roberts Wesleyan match, the No. 3 doubles team of sophomore Lesley Cerniglia and seninor Jennifer Garwol scored an 8-6 victory for the lone Fredonia State point.

The Pitt-Bradford match consisted of five Blue Devils winning both singles and doubles matches. They were senior Anna Norris, senior Calee Prindle, sophomore Katrina Johnston, freshman Jessica Johnston, and freshman Alison Phillips. In addition, senior Chelsea Mang won her singles match while freshman Molly Zanetti teamed with Phillips for a doubles win.

The Blue Devils improved to 3-4 with the win at Pitt-Bradford. They will be at home Oct. 4 vs. Alfred.
