Guarino won the NCAA Division III men's indoor mile championship March 13 at Columbus, Ohio. His winning time of 4:14.23 was .81 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. It was Guarino's third national running title. He won the indoor mile and the outdoor 1,500 meters in 2010.
