A junior from LeRoy, N.Y.., Carlson earned two All-America certificates at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving championship meet in Greensboro, N.C. He capped his season with a second-place finish off the 1-meter board with 521.75 points. His 3-meter score of 511.00 points was good for fifth place and Carlson's first-ever All-America citation.
