A senior from Binghamton, N.Y., Joseph had the best finish by a Fredonia runner -- male or female -- at the 2017 SUNYAC Cross Country championships held Saturday, October 28, hosted by SUNY Potsdam. He covered the hilly Norwood-Norfolk H.S. course in 27:13.7, an average mile pace of 5:29. He was sixth overall, one place ahead of teammate Ethan Francis (who earned SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame recognition by finishing seventh twice). In addition, Fredonia junior Brenna Donovan finished ninth in the women's race.
