A sophomore from the Bronx, N.Y., Helps averaged 21.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in three games last week. He had 25 points and 13 rebounds plus seven assists and two blocked shots in the first of the three games, an 89-86 road win at Geneseo. He went for 19 and 9 in a loss at Plattsburgh before closing out the week with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists in a road win at Potsdam. Helps connected on 25 of 57 field-goal attempts (53.2 percent) in the three games. He also raised his season averages to 16.7 points and 8.9 rebounds.
