A right-handed pitcher from Endwell, N.Y., Gannett posting a 4-0 mark with a 2.04 earned run average during the week. She struck out 33 batters and walked only six over 24 innings pitched. Opponents batted .185 against her. Among Gannett's victories was a two-hit shutout of Potsdam in a game which she registered 12 strikeouts, tied for fourth most in a single game by a Blue Devil pitcher. She leads all SUNYAC pitchers with 59 strikeouts and is tied for the conference lead with five wins (5-2). The 6-0 start by the Blue Devils matches the best start in program history.
