Diving over two days at the Trinity (Texas) Invitational, Matter broke two Fredonia State school record and nearly broke the SUNYAC records off the 3-meter board. His winning 11-dive score of 573.85 points and his 6-dive score of 352.50 set school marks and fell just short of the SUNYAC marks held by Oswego's Kevin Morgan since 2008. Morgan's records are 576.35 for 11 dives, 369.05 points for 6 dives. Matter also won the 1-meter competition at Trinity with 521.75 points. He's just the fourth Fredonia State men's diver to exceed 500 points off the 1-meter board. Both his winning scores qualified Matter for NCAA zone diving in late February.
