Ruiz's best 800 meter dash time came in the Conference Tune-Up Invitational where he finished with a time of 2:06.33... at the Blue and Orange Invitational & Multi, Ruiz's 4x400 relay team crossed the finish line in 3:51.05... Ruiz's distance medley team finished with a time of a 11:05.85 at the Golden Eagle Invite.
