FREDONIA, N.Y. -- After finishing third as a freshman,
Stephen Hallberg took the SUNYAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday. He crossed the finish line in 26:06.8, six seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
For the women,
Bronwyn Madden scored the only goal in a 1-0 double-overtime win over Oswego in the SUNYAC Tournament, as the Devils advance to the semifnals. Madden's 11 goals lead the conference.
Other Notables:
- Also at the Cross Country SUNYAC Championships,
Kevin Moser was named Second Team All Conference with his ninth-place finish, and
Lucas Peterson-Volz was named Third Team after finishing 13th.
- Volleyball clinched a playoff berth and had several standout performances over the weekend:
- Kylie O'Brien (19 kills, 13 digs, two aces, one block)
- Maeve Musielak (26 digs, 14 kills)
- Kailea Sullivan (33 digs)

Casey Fetzner was perfect into double overtime as the Blue Devils came away with a 1-0 SUNYAC First Round win over Oswego. The freshman goaltender made 10 saves for the shutout. She was also named the SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Ryan Ameis led a Fredoinia State defense that did not allow a goal in a road post-season game at Plattsburgh, as the Blue Devils came away with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. For good measure, Ameis moved upfield on a Fredonia State corner kick, and his header accounted for the only goal of the games as the Devils advance to the Semi Final Round on Wednesday. He was named the SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Matthieu Fournier scored a pair of goals in a 4-3 loss to Potsdam on Saturday. His first goal came late in the second period to cut the Potsdam lead to 2-1. He scored early in the third period to make it a 2-2 game. His scores came just under four minutes apart.
