McCrone sets new school record in the 50-yard Backstroke

RESULTS
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's swimming and diving team competed in day one of the SUNYAC meet on Wednesday. The highlight of the night for Fredonia State came whenĀ Patrick McCrone set a new school record in the 50-yard Backstroke. McroneĀ led off the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 23.95, besting the record of 24.46 that he set at last year's SUNYAC Championship.

Other notable performances for the Devils on day one of competition came in the 800 yard freestyle relay. The Devils placed seventh justĀ in front of Potsdam and a few seconds off of Oswego for sixth with a team score of 7:33.75.Ā 

The Devils will look to improve on day two of the SUNYAC meet on Thursday.Ā
