Carnigie Mellon would increase the intensity in the second half by scoring three unanswered goals to put the game out of reach for Fredonia State. GoalieÂ
Dani Rubino for the Devils would finish the day with two saves with the team registering two shots on goal.
Head coach
Chris Case shared his thoughts on his teams performance, "We played a very good team today. I thought in the first half we did well staying organized and tried to make it tough for them. I was pleased to see us create a few chances and take the lead in the first half. Second half, they really came at us and broke us down. I thought we did well for the most part against a very well balanced and dynamic team."Â
The Devils look to rebound fast with a quick turnaround game against Baldwin Wallace on Sunday September, 3rd at 1:00 PM to wrap up the Herb Lauffer Memorial tournament at Penn State Behrend.Â
