FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia teams competed at four separate SUNYAC championship venues last weekend, resulting in individual achievements of note, including three women's swimming school records by freshman
McKayla Polowy.
Last Thursday, Polowy tied the 500-yard freestyle record of 5:13.09, which she now shares with Lizzie Lodinsky from the 2012 Blue Devil Invitational. On Saturday, Polowy's time of 17:54.74 in the 1,650 freestyle broke Lodinsky's team record of 17:55.49, set at the 2012 SUNYAC meet. During the 1,650, Polowy crossed the 1,000-yard mark in 10:47.58, faster than Lodinsky's 10:48.14 split during her record-setting 1,650 in 2012.
