LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – A quintet of Fredonia Blue Devils competed at the NCAA Atlantic Regional on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils were 28th overall. There were 45 New York and New Jersey universities and colleges represented.
Fredonia's top finisher was its lone senior,
Ethan Francis (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk), 97th overall in 28:17.40 over the 8,000-meter course at Gloucester County DREAM Park. It was the final cross country meet for Francis, who has been Fredonia's No. 1 runner all season.
Next for the Blue Devils was sophomore
Ryan Dunning (Syracuse, N.Y. / West Genesee) in 29:34.26, followed by freshman
Kyle Campbell (Niagara Falls, N.Y. / Niagara Falls) in 29:55.86. Six spots back was junior
Kyle Egan (Monroe, N.Y. / Monroe-Woodbury) in 30:10.33, with freshman
Seth Fonda (Buffalo, N.Y. / Cheektowaga) next in 30:30.22.
