HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Fredonia senior
Ethan Francis (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk) finished second Saturday at the Houghton Highlander Invitational men's cross country race.
Francis covered the eight-kilometer Field of Dreams course in 27:13.5, an average of 5:28.6 per mile. There were 140 men in the race, won by RIT's Otto Kingstedt in 26:15.6 over a muddy course.
The next three scorers for Fredonia were junior
Kyle Egan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) in 64th, freshman
Seth Fonda (Buffalo, N.Y./Cheektowaga) in 69th, sophomore
Noah Watkins (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) in 70th, and freshman
Kyle Campbell (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Falls) in 71st.
Displacement finishers were sophomore
Matthew Erman (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) and sophomore
Ryan Dunning (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee).
"It was a strong race from Ethan," Fredonia Head Coach
