Arron Carlson won his first collegiate All-American honors on Wednesday

Carlson earns All-American, Santiago Honarable Mention

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- For the first time in his collegiate diving career, junior Arron Carlson (LeRoy, N.Y. / Notre Dame) has been named All-American, finishing fifth in the country in the 3-meter springboard competition.

With a finals score of 511.00 at NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, Carlson received the honor after being named Honorable Mention All-American three times in his two previous seasons. He also finished fifth in the preliminaries with a score of 473.50.

Rafael Santiago (Middletown, N.Y. / Middletown), diving in his first national competition, received Honorable Mention All-American after finishing 15th in the consolation finals with a score of 435.85. He finished 11th in the preliminaries (444.70).

Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown) will take the stage tomorrow in the preliminary rounds of the women's 1-meter springboard at 10 a.m.
