Skidmore pulls away from Blue Devils

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Skidmore scored the first four goals of the second half en route a 15-11 victory over Fredonia State at Spring Fling 2012.

The teams were tied 8-8 at halftime before Skidmore put together its decisive run. After taking a 12-9 lead, Skidmore put the game on ice with three more goals.

Fredonia State pulled closer by scoring the final two goals of the game.

Amy Simon had four goals and one assist to lead the Fredonia State offense. She was also credited with four draw controls.

Katie Kleine was credited with three goals while Kaila Fox collected three groundballs.

The Blue Devils (3-2) return to Fredonia for their next game, noon Saturday vs. Rochester Institute of Technology.
