FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State women earned both SUNYAC swimming and diving awards this week.

Stephanie Andrasek (Parma, Ohio), a junior, was selected Women's Swimmer of the Week after recording a winning time of 1:09.13 in the 100-yard breast stroke. It is the second-fastest time in the conference this winter. Andrasek was also second in the 200 breast stroke (2:33.12) and part of the 200 yard medley and 800 yard freestyle relays.

Sarah Ficarro (Owego), also a junior, was named Women's Diver of the Week. She posted winning scores of 256.90 in the 1-meter and 279.65 in the 3-meter during the Cortland meet. Both scores were NCAA provisionals.

It was the second straight week and the fifth time this winter Ficarro has earned the weekly award.

The Blue Devils defeated Cortland in a dual meet for the first time in the history of the two women's programs.
