FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's soccer team is one of seven SUNYAC schools to earn a Ethics Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The Blue Devils, coached by Chris Case, earned a Silver version of the award for receiving no red cards and no more than five yellow cards during the 2011 season.

The NSCAA added the award to recognize teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the Laws of the Game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.

A total of 66 women's teams received either the Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the award.
