LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Former Fredonia State Blue Devil Rob Herrmann recently participated in the Pecos League All Star team on July 10. The rookie catcher was hitting .388, with 45 hits in 116 at bats at the break. Herrmann has also had a strong defensive showing as one of the leagues top catchers in his first season of professional baseball.
Herrmann went 1-for-2 in the game and scored a run as the team fell, 9-8, to the other division.
Herrmann has seen action in 37 games for the Las Cruces Vaqueros. The team is currently in third place in the league at 25-20, five games back of league leading Roswell.
Herrmann has a pair of doubles, one homerun and 17 walks on the season.
he played four seasons at Fredonia State, earning all-conference recognition each year.
