ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team defeated R.I.T., 18-7, to improve to a perfect 7-0 on the season. The seventh straight win set a new school win-streak standard.

R.I.T. dropped to 1-5 with the loss.

The Devils jumped out to a 4-0 lead as Amy Simon, Karli Brinthaupt, Marissa Cussins and Rachael Reinis each scored.

The Tigers got on the board at the 17:58 mark. The Devils responded by running off six consecutive goals to take a 10-1 lead. Simon added two more goals during that run.

Fredonia State took an 11-3 lead into the intermission.

The Devils outscored the Tigers 8-4 in the second half to cruise to the victory. Simon added three more goals to finish the day with six scores.

Brinthaupt and Morgan McNamera finished with three goals apiece. Simon, Cussina and Laura Culhane each finished with two assists.

Goalkeeper Casey Cheisa had seven saves and allowed seven goals for the Devils.

The Devils will look to extend their win streak on April 1st as they play host to Adrian College at University Stadium.
