FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State cheerleading team will make its annual trek to the University Cheerleading and Dance Association's national championship next weekend in Orlando, Fla.
The Blue Devils, coached by
Katie Pucci-Schaefer, will perform at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, as part of the 14-team All-Girl Division II competition.
The top eight teams, based on their scores in the morning, will perform in the championship round in the afternoon.
The national championships includes three days of competition at various levels. The venue for the All-Girl Division II competition is the HP Fieldhouse on the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Blue Devils will be the 13th team to compete, after Concord and before Slippery Rock.
The other teams in the competition, by order of appearance, are Misericordia, The College of New Jersey, Avila, Nova Southeastern, St. Francis, Mississippi Delta C.C., Angelo State, West Georgia, Northern Kentucky, Southern Connecticut State, Scranton, and Kutztown.
