Thomas, a senior, finished first in one event and second in another last Saturday at the Mount Union Wuske Invitational. He broke the tape in 60-meter dash in a school indoor record 7.04 seconds, two-hundredths of a second faster than the second-place runner. Thomas was also fastest after preliminaries in 7.13 seconds. Later in the meet, he finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.18 seconds. He was competing for the first time this winter.
