Brown, a senior from Haverstraw, N.Y., and North Rockland H.S., won the SUNYAC indoor shot put title last Friday at the conference championship meet in Brockport. His winning throw of 15.93 meters -- 52 feet, 3 1/4 inches -- is a personal-best and places him at No. 23 on the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field performance list. The top 15 men qualify for the national meet next month.
