A senior from Binghamton, N.Y. and Binghamton High School, Joseph ran a personal-best 8:50.72 to finish second in the 3,000 meters at the Youngstown State University Icebreaker on Fri., Dec. 1. His time, just 1.3 seconds behind a Division 1 runner and 13 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher, was 14 seconds than his previous best. His second-place finish was the best by any Fredonia athlete at the season-opening meet.
